WhoseTitle vs Follow Up Boss

They solve different halves of the same job. Follow Up Boss is a follow-up engine for leads you already have. WhoseTitle finds the leads first — on a map, from public records and your own data sources — then gives you the pipeline to work them. Here's the honest breakdown.

The short version

Choose Follow Up Boss if your leads arrive from portals, IDX sites, and ads, and your bottleneck is speed-to-lead and automated nurture at volume. Choose WhoseTitle if you prospect — geographic farming, circle prospecting, FSBO and distress research — and your bottleneck is finding owners and their contact info without paying list brokers. WhoseTitle costs less than half as much at every team size.

What each costs as your team grows

WhoseTitle is $45/month including one seat, then $20 per teammate. Follow Up Boss Grow is $69 per user monthly; their Pro plan is $499/month for up to ten users. Annual billing discounts both (WhoseTitle: 2 months free; FUB: ~16%).

TeamSeatsWhoseTitleFollow Up Boss
Solo agent1$45/mo$69/mo
Small team3$85/mo$207/mo
Growing team5$125/mo$345/mo
Brokerage10$225/mo$499/mo

FUB column uses Grow at $69/user (monthly billing) up to 5 seats and Pro at $499 for the 10-seat row. Data costs: WhoseTitle county data is free and skip tracing runs on your own provider key at cost; FUB doesn't sell property data at any tier.

The real difference: where your leads come from

Follow Up Boss assumes leads flow to you — from Zillow, your IDX site, ads, or open houses — and its job is making sure nobody slips: instant routing, drip campaigns, calling queues, accountability dashboards. At that job it's excellent, and teams spending heavily on inbound lead gen get real value from its $69-per-user price.

WhoseTitle assumes you go get the leads. Draw a lasso around a farm area and it pulls every owner inside from public county records — free — with tenure, sale history, and likelihood-to-sell scoring. When you're ready to call, skip tracing runs on your own data-provider key at wholesale cost. The CRM — pipeline, prospecting action plans, team lead pond — exists to work those leads to close.

That's why the price gap isn't a catch. FUB charges per-user for a deep follow-up feature set; WhoseTitle charges a flat base plus cheap seats and makes money on software, not on reselling data. If you need dialers, mass email, and portal ingestion, FUB earns its price. If you need to know who owns a neighborhood and how to reach them, that's us.

Common questions

Is WhoseTitle a replacement for Follow Up Boss?
It depends on what you use FUB for. If your leads come from portals and IDX sites and you live in automated follow-up, FUB is purpose-built for that. If you prospect — farming neighborhoods, circle prospecting, working owner data — WhoseTitle replaces the spreadsheet-and-list-broker workflow FUB was never designed for, and includes the pipeline to work those leads.
Can I use both?
Some teams do: WhoseTitle for top-of-funnel discovery (finding owners in a farm area, skip tracing them), FUB for high-volume inbound follow-up. WhoseTitle exports CSV, so leads can move between systems.
Why is WhoseTitle so much cheaper?
Two reasons. Data: we don't resell property data, so there's no data margin baked into the subscription — county records are free and premium sources run on your own provider key at cost. Scope: we don't bundle a dialer, mass email, or portal integrations you may not use.
Does Follow Up Boss have a lead discovery map?
No. Follow Up Boss ingests leads from other sources — portals, IDX websites, ads — and organizes the follow-up. It doesn't generate leads or provide property owner data. WhoseTitle starts one step earlier: draw an area on the map and pull the owners inside it.
