Terms of Service

The plain-English version
Pay for the software, use it lawfully, and your data stays yours. County records are public information provided as-is. Data you pull through your own provider keys is governed by your agreement with that provider — including how you're allowed to use it. Cancel anytime; access runs through the end of what you've paid for.
1. The service
WhoseTitle is a map-based lead discovery and CRM platform: you draw areas, view property-owner information from public county records and from data providers you connect, and manage leads through a pipeline with your team. By creating an account you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Subscriptions, seats, and trials
New teams get a 7-day free trial with no credit card. After the trial, continued use requires a subscription: a base plan that includes the account owner's seat, plus a per-seat charge for each additional team member, billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Seats adjust automatically and are prorated as teammates join or leave; pre-purchased seat allowances set a billing floor until you change them. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and your data remains intact if you return. Current prices are on the pricing page; we'll give notice before price changes affect an existing subscription. Refund requests: email hello@whosetitle.com — we're reasonable.
3. Your data providers (bring your own key)
Connecting a data-provider API key means queries your team runs are fulfilled by that provider under your agreement with them. You are responsible for the costs those queries incur on your provider account and for complying with your provider's license and permissible-use terms, including rules that govern skip-traced contact data. WhoseTitle passes your queries through without markup and adds no rights to the data beyond what your provider grants you.
4. Acceptable use
Use WhoseTitle only for lawful business purposes. You are responsible for your outreach complying with applicable law — including Do-Not-Call, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and any state rules that apply to your business. Don't resell, scrape, or bulk-export the service's data for redistribution; don't probe or disrupt the service; don't share accounts beyond your paid seats.
5. Data accuracy
Public records and third-party data are provided as-is. Counties update on their own schedules, providers vary in match quality, and scoring models are estimates. WhoseTitle is not a consumer reporting agency, and nothing in the service may be used to determine eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or housing, or for any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Nothing here is legal or financial advice.
6. Your content and our IP
Leads, notes, and templates you create are yours; you grant us only the license needed to store and serve them back to your team. The WhoseTitle software, brand, and site content are ours; we grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the service while subscribed.
7. Termination
You can stop anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other users or data sources, or go unpaid; where practical we'll warn you first and provide an export window for your data.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhoseTitle's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts of data providers or the contents of public records.
9. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which WhoseTitle's operator is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stand. We may update these Terms; material changes get notice, and continued use means acceptance. Questions: hello@whosetitle.com.
